Chello Design Co, formerly known as Rachel Writes, was founded by Rachel Castaneda in 2021.  Rachel specializes in murals and logo painting in commercial spaces.

We create murals that spark joy, tell stories, and transform every day spaces into memorable experiences.

Before pursuing art full time, Rachel was an elementary school teacher for twelve years. Her background in education shapes her thoughtful approach to community focused art. Many of her murals can be found in schools and shared spaces designed to inspire connection and positivity.

Based in Apex, North Carolina, Rachel lives with her husband and three young children. She looks forward to continuing to collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create meaningful, lasting artwork that enhances spaces and engages the community.
